I tried this and couldn’t stand the banging/noise. I do the safety pins though. I have a mismatched socks with 6 safety pins hooked onto it and we just leave it in the dryer. It’s perfect for Michigan winters! Zero static!

I was wondering if you could put some perfumed oils on the tennis balls to help your clothes smell. I received some felted balls for Christmas for my dryer and they came with some oils to put on them and my clothes smell fantastic and it does cut down on drying time.

I’m also curious about the safety pin tip. Is it just one sock with pins in it? And it lasts all season?

We use wool dryer balls and love them!!

Yes, it is just a plain sock with safety pins. I don’t know how many they recommend, but it eliminates static. I used a child’s sock and stuck on 6 regular safety pins. I think I read it on Simple Organized Living, Andrea is Queen Bee of natural and inexpensive cleaning supplies and otherwise!
