I’m not great at cleaning, so no tips really! I do love that my bathroom is connected to my bedroom and that there are two sinks for when hubby and I are both in there getting ready at the same time!

  2. 2

I love to clean the tub with borax, baking soda, and vinegar. Gets it super clean :)

    • 3

I love The Works brand tub cleaner. I get it at the dollar store. We have hard water and I get rust stains on my tub. Simply spraying The Works on it and it cleans it up so easily!

      • 4

I found some brand called Zep & it is sold at Menards. It is the only thing that has helped our tubs. Tubs are the one piece surround. And the smell is not as harsh as the other ones I get at Target/Meijer. Plus the Zep is a big spray bottle and it costs $1.97!!! So almost $2 bucks cheaper than the others I was buying!

I like the idea of the borax, vinegar, & baking soda. I am willing to try anything! LOL

I like to use plain old alcohol to clean under the seat. It kills the bacteria that cause the smell! You could use bleach (and for a while when I had a big stockpile of those Clorox wipes I used those), but Alcohol is so cheap, and we always have it around (conveniently stored in the bathroom!).. that it’s just a no brainer for me.

I am 8 months pregnant right now so cleaning the bathroom is NOT something Im wanting to do or have any tips for lol. What I do love though is that my bathroom is in my room so when I have to get up 5642131 times at night, it’s only a few steps away from me instead of having to go across the house. I also have discovered a new love for vinegar and baking soda as a cleaning agent since I dont really want to smell the nasty fumes, so I just mix them both into a paste, lay it down on the tub and let it soak for a good 15 minutes. It really makes my tub look shiny and new :)

  5. 7

I also have found a new love of cleaning the bathroom with vinegar and baking soda! We have really hard water so the rust/calcium stains are horrible! It used to be only Lysol toilet bowl cleaner with rust remover did the trick… until a few of my friends pointed out that they use warm vinegar & baking soda. I am hooked! It smells so much less toxic and is way cheaper!!!

  6. 8

I don’t have boys but I do have a messy daughter that shares the bathroom with me. I keep my glass cleaner and Clorox wipes under the counter and do a quick daily clean. I do save lots of $$$ by using flour sack’s (kitchen towel section in stores) to clean my windows and mirrors. After a few cleanings I just toss them in the wash and reuse them. I have about 6 towels that I have been using for several years now. They clean so much better than paper towels too!

I love to use a half cup of blue dawn to a equal part of vinegar. It works great for hardwater stains on my tub.

  8. 10

My favorite thing about my bathroom is it has a shower and separate bath tub. I use the tub for the kids and shower for me

Magic eraser combined with scrubbing bubbles! Cleans anything!!!

  10. 12

My favorite thing is tag team cleaning with my hubby. He is the one that cleans the toliet! (I am spoiled, I think ;) )and I clean the rest. We love Lysol black bottle for the toilet and scubbing bubbles for the rest. :)

  11. 13

My husband does the cleaning. He uses scrubbing bubbles and we have iron water and I use an industrial cleaner on the shower to remove the rust stains.

  12. 14
    Amanda R says:

I love how big my bathroom is. It’s the biggest one I’ve ever had and was a MAJOR selling point for us last year when we were shopping for a home! As of right now I only have one potty trained boy (he’s 4!) and so far he’s got great aim! I have a 20 month old boy that I’m not even close to potty training and I’m pregnant with boy #3 so I’m sure I’ll understand the pee smell thing eventually!

  13. 15

I love to use the magic eraser for cleaning my tub. I first put comet down, and then I use the eraser. Gets it nice a sparkly. My favorite thing about my bathroom, is the door lock. With 4 girls, sometimes I just pretend I have to go to the bathroom for a few minutes alone :) Although I can still here them talk to me through the door, I can at least have a moment to myself :)

I use my small steam blaster thingy to get all the pee out of the crevices and boy does it work great! The pee doesn’t stand a chance! When the pee is gone, the smell is gone!

I painted stripes in my bathroom recently and love it but am still trying finishin decorating it! That is where my talent is lacking :/

  17. 19

Each bathroom has their own magic eraser so it can be used anytime. Vinegar helps with the urine smells. I love that my husband and I have our own bathroom, double sink vanity and a longer tub for me.

  18. 20

My favorite thing about my bathroom, believe it or not, is storage. With super-couponing, I have quite a bit of stock that I am able to store right in my bathroom cabinets !

  19. 21

My favorite thing about my master bathroom is that it’s in my bedroom and has a huge jacuzzi tub to soak away all my stress!

  20. 22

My favorite thing about the bathroom is that it’s the best place to hide from my kids. Just kidding. I wouldn’t do that! ;) I love that our bathroom has a HUGE closet in it. Gotta store all that toilet paper somewhere. We go through a lot…7 bums here, too. :)

  21. 23
    Jill B. says:

I find that Clorox wipes are my best friend in the bathroom. They do a great job on the toilet seat, the countertops, and even for spot cleaning on the linoleum and faucets. We only have 4 bums at this house, but we still use a lot of tp :)

  22. 24

I use a combo of dawn and vinegar to clean everything in the bathroom and it works wonders!

  23. 25
    Jessica C says:

I use Clorox wipes to clean every area of my bathroom – I can throw them away when I am done. Seems much easier then anything else.

  24. 26
    Melissa says:

To keep my bathroom smelling fresh, I took a “fabric softener scent booster” sample, put in in candle holder and it sits by the toliet. The smell is pretty powerful.

  25. 27

We have all boys too…I spray my light bulb with perfume to hide the smell…

  27. 29

i have my children’s bath pictures hanging on the wall in our bathroom and it is for sure my favorite thing about our bathroom!

  28. 30
    Jennifer says:

My favorite bathroom cleaning tip is the Norwex cloth! (No—I don’t sell them! Just love them!) No chemicals so when my kid is following me while I’m cleaning I don’t have to worry about him, and I’ve been able to keep it clean while pregnant without the nasty chemical smells. My favorite thing about our bathroom is the nice tile floor my hubby installed a few years ago–easy to mop up and keep clean!

  29. 31

My tip to keeping my bathroom clean is to do a fast wipe of the sink and toilet everyday. It only takes 5 minutes and then I do not get the boy smells!

  30. 32

  34. 36

In our downstairs bathroom we have a hand-held shower head and I love it for cleaning the bathroom!

  35. 37

Really hate to clean the bathroom, but for the first time in the 15 years I have been married will live in a home that has a bathroom off the bedroom, it’s small and hard to even have 2 people in at the same time but I am grateful for the little things!!

  36. 38

I like having a curved shower rod, it actually makes a huge difference in the shower and gives lots of extra space! -)

  37. 39

Since moving to our house with a septic tank I try to stay away from cleaning with chemicals. I keep baking soda in an old parmesan cheese container to sprinkle it in the toilet bowl and vinegar in a spray bottle. My boys love to watch them fizz when it’s toilet scrubbing time!

  38. 40
    Christina says:

My favorite thing in my bathroom is the tiled shower that I installed myself. It took forever but I was super proud of myself.

The best thing about our bathroom seeing as though it’s the only one, is the fact that it’s large!

  47. 49

Fav tip…splash a little bleach in the toilet before hubby gets home. Smells great and he’ll think I cleaned and scrubbed all day. :)

  48. 50

I make my own general purpose household cleaner using thyme, vinegar and essential oils that works great on toilets for cleaning and smells! It kills bacteria too! Thanks for all you do to help us save $$$!

  56. 58

I love that there is a lock on the door! With six kids sometimes you just need a minute to yourself.

  57. 59

I love my linen closet with the deep hidden drawers in it, not to mention all the storage.
Cleaning wise- i used to be all about the works, but i have found going back old school like my grandma used to is cheaper and eorkd just as well so its vinegar and baking soda in our house.

  58. 60

I also have boys and bleach is my go to for the toilet and eliminating the smell.

  59. 61

I use vinegar and baking soda to clean the bathrooms. A standard window clean squirt bottle top fits on the vinegar bottle from Aldi. Sprinkle baking soda and squirt with vinegar and cleans great. How to get an 8 year old boy to aim is an entirely different issue.

  60. 62

I wipe down my bathroom with vinegar water(I keep a spray bottle and rags under my sink) and swish the toilet with toilet cleaner every other day. It’s amazing how easy it is to keep a clean bathroom clean!

  61. 63

My favorite thing about my bathroom?? It has a lock on the door! :)

  62. 64
    Melanie says:

I love that we just redid our bathroom! Now that there isn’t any more wall paper, I’ve been enjoying it for the last few weeks. :) As far as cleaning goes, “The Works” is a must for our toilet. Hard rust water stains cannot be eliminated without it.

  63. 65

I LOVE this giveaway! I’m so nerdy and I LOVE stockpiling. And I love practical stuff like this. Thank you. This is BEST giveaway! :)

One thing I like about my bathroom is that theme wise, its kid friendly/fun and yet adultwise its fun too (or at least I think so!) We did it in owls…bright colored owls that is. :)

  65. 67

Favorite thing about our bathroom: we have one attached to our bedroom that we don’t have to share with the kids! :)

  66. 68

I have nothing nice to say about my bathrooms(I have 2). We live in a old farm house and we have hard water at our home, so I use The Works Green for the tub and shower, and The Works Blue for the toilet. It helps so I don’t have to scrub my fingers til they bleed.

  67. 69

Best thing about our bathroom, my wife cleans it.

  68. 70

With having a dozen kids in a two bathroom home (no master bedroom), it’s not my favorite place by any means! We now have 6 kids living at home and it is easier – but this still includes 4 daughters! One of my newest favorite cleaning tips (probably saw on Pinterest) is using a dryer sheet to wash glass shower doors and it works wonderfully! I still use Scrubbing Bubbles cuz I like the smell and disinfecting power, but it’s sure easy and great to use the dryer sheets in between thorough cleanings!

  69. 71

I don’t have any bathroom cleaning tips, but it was helpful to read other people’s tips. I do enjoy not having to share a bathroom with our children :)

  70. 72

    michelle says:

I read that a quarter cup of baking soda added to the toilet, then scrub, can do wonders. I also love the Mr. Clean bathroom sponge to get soap scum out of my tub. It leaves the tub shiny and clean with not much elbow grease! I wipe out the toilet seats with a lysol-peroxide wipe every few days.

  79. 81

I love my deep clawfoot tub!

  80. 82
    Rebecca says:

    I love my jacuzzi tub!

  81. 83

After living in a house with one bathroom, I am thankful our new home has 2 1/2 baths! Also, love the magic eraser for cleaning.

  82. 84

We just moved 6 months ago and we now have a window in our bathroom. I’ve never had that before, and I love it so much! I love having the window open during the summer to get some fresh air in the bathroom!

  83. 85
    Michelle says:

I love the Lysol wipes. They are easy for the kids to use as well. It’s never too early to train the kids how to wipe down the sink. With the toilet, I put in bleach wait 30 mins and flush the toilet. Then I go back an use Lysol toilet bowl cleaner to get the rim and anything else the bleach missed.

  84. 86

I break off small pieces of a magic eraser and still it in to the toilet let it sit over night and the thing practically cleans itself. Love it!

  85. 87

Recently I started using equal parts of Dawn and vinegar to clean the bathroom.. Does a fabulous job. I spray the tub every morning after my shower and the next morning rinse it before taking my showers and it stays clean with very little effort.

  86. 88
    Donna Tipton says:

I love my bathroom because after my husband takes a shower he writes me a note on the bathroom mirror, so when I get up and take my shower it appears again!!! It isn’t always mushy, sometimes he just draws pictures.

  87. 89

I use lemon scented bleah diluted with water. Spray around the toilet and let it sit for a few minutes. Works like a charm for about 5 cents a bottle :)

  92. 94

Cleaning tip? Make the kids clean their own bathroom ;)
I make my own disinfecting wipes. Just like homemade baby wipes, but use your favorite disinfecting cleaner instead of baby stuff.

  93. 95

Having just come home from camping … my favorite thing about my bathroom is … it is mine! We dont have to share with strangers and it is clean!

  94. 96

My favorite thing about my bathroom is the large cabinet, where I can put everything away.

  95. 97
    Michelle says:

I love that my bathroom has bite marks in the counter. They were made when my children were learning to potty train. They would sit on the potty and get bored, so they would lean over and chew on the edge of the counter. HAHAHAHA. I won’t get rid of them to this day!

  96. 98

No cleaning tips here. I do enjoy having my own bathroom though. I love the large cabinets in our main bathroom. I’m able to store all of my extra toilet paper and paper towels, plus everything else.

  97. 99

I use a mixture of Dawn dish soap and vinegar all over my bathroom! The shower, the counter top, and the toilet. Works great!

  98. 100

I use scrubbing bubbles disposable toilet cleaning tabs for light cleaning (couple of times a week). Then Lysol TB cleaner for bigger cleaning (every other week).

  99. 101

My favorite cleaning tip : equal parts dawn dish soap and vinegar!!! It makes my bathroom sparkle and I would much rather smell vinegar than breathe in all those nasty chemicals.

  101. 103

Our bathroom is really small and our 4 year old son always misses and hits the floor so it can get pretty smelly in there if we don’t clean it right away. I use an H20 steam mop and lysol wipes on the floor. Gets the smell out quickly.

  102. 104
    Tonia Coale says:

I just love how easy it is to clean my tub. I know it is not very frugal, but so easy. Fill the tub up to the top with warm water. Add dish soap and bleach. Let soak for about an hour. Use the water in the tub to wipe down the walls in the shower. Your tub will never be cleaner :)

  103. 105

  112. 114

I have been using scrubbing bubbles & magic erasers for the tub, works for the toilet bowl. Got some wonderful tips to try from these comments such as the baking soda/ vinegar combo. I want to use more natural cleaners through out my home and also find they are much cheaper.

  113. 115

We just started potty-training our 2 year old son, and already I can see that its not going to be easy keeping the bathroom clean! I love the old-school basics: vinegar, dish soap and baking soda. With baby #2 on the way, we would be so blessed to receive a year’s supply of toilet paper! Thanks for doing this giveaway! :)

  114. 116

The best thnig about our 1/2 bath is the name; we are known in our neighborhood for having “the orange potty”! The main bathroom is my favorite because it is huge; 2 sinks and lots of floor space for myself and 3 kids getting ready at the same time each Sunday morning (while my hubby hides away in his teeny-tiny master bathroom). I am not a fan of cleaning toilets, but daily wipe-downs help. Plus, don’t we parents need to teach our children such glorious jobs so they can grow up to be cleanly, responsible human beings? Time for a new kids’ job on the chart! :)

  115. 117

I love our deep soaking bath tub. It’s great for cleaning kids and decompressing for mom!

  116. 118

What a great giveaway! I feel like I’m always buying toilet paper, and, quilted northern is my favorite brand! My cleaning tip: Hire a cleaning lady. :-) It’s my luxury in life, I hate cleaning, especially toilets.

  117. 119

I love my bathroom it has a large garden tub and large sink and has candles everywhere my place to unwind from a day with the kids(8 of them).

  121. 123

I also love The Works to clean the tub – and a tub of Clorox wipes on the counter and toilet seat everyday!

  122. 124

My favorite cleaning product for the bathroom is Mrs. Meyer’s
Basil scent all-purpose cleaner (thanks for introducing me), makes

  123. 125

I like equal parts blue Dawn and vinegar also. Works great. Vinegar must be warm before you add Dawn, then spray down your tub or shower. I let it sit while I clean the rest of the bathroom. I hate cleaning bathrooms but hate dirty bathrooms even more so I clean a lot. :) Thanks for the giveaway!!!

  124. 126

  131. 133

I raised 6 children (three boys) , and also provided day care to 6 nephews at one time. Talk about “how many ways can a little boy miss the toilet!” stories, I have many!! Now those days are gone, but I am the proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren under 12 (five are boys). The grandchildren have not come up with any news ways to miss the toilet, but are still using the already established ways (over the top, banked off the raised lid, not quite tall enough to get over the rim, across the side and into the waste basket).

Scubbing Bubbles takes a lot of the work out of it. I spray, wait and wipe.

  135. 137

A good friend helped me redecorate my bathroom. Now, it makes me think of her when I’m enjoying the new, spa-like atmosphere in there!

Would LOVE any tips on getting the pee smell out :) My 2 four year old boys ALWAYS miss… ALWAYS! Love them to death but at least 3 times a day I am saying… “watch what you are doing”!! Thanks for the giveaway! Enjoy your summer!

  137. 140

For the shower, I like scrubbing bubbles & for the rest, I love the stain remover recipe you posted a while back w/ the dawn dish soap & vinegar…we use that stuff on EVERYTHING!! :)

    Stephanie Adkins says:

In November, my hubby was going to re-caulk our tub so it would look clean. Well, long story short…. two weeks and $5K later we had the shiniest, and cleanest bathroom on the block! My cleaning tip is to make sure your hubby knows what he’s doing before he decides to re-caulk for cleanliness! My favorite part of my bathroom now is simply my curved shower rod, I feel like Im in a bathroom fit for a queen!

  139. 142

The thing I love most about my bathroom is that it is connected to my bedroom! I have 2 boys as well so while it takes a lot of cleaning in their bathroom, I know mine won’t have pee everywhere! Ahhh it’s the simple things :)

  140. 143
    Michelle says:

Any flushable wipe I can get cheap works for a couple times a day wipe down.

  141. 144

My favorite thing about the bathroom is that it’s the one place where nobody can bother me

  142. 145

I recently purchased a commode seat that pops off and on for easy cleaning. I like mean green all purpose cleaner with a magic eraser for the shower.

    Rochelle says:

My favorite thing about my large master bathroom is that it is attached to my bedroom, and it has a jacuzzi and walk-in closet in it! It also has 2 sinks, one for me and one for my husband, so we can both get ready at the same time.

My best cleaning tip for cleaning the sinks would be using a scrub brush with a handle on it (from the Dollar Tree) to get all those nicks and crannies really clean, no matter which cleaning product I use with it.

I would love to win this contest, since there are 3 women/girls in the house. My husband tells me that one roll would last HIM a month, but girls tend to use up a lot more than that, LOL.

  144. 147

Plain old white vinegar and baking soda gets rid of the pee smell and cleans wonderfully and naturally

  145. 148

I find the Clorox wipes are handy and quick with a potty training boy and various random bathroom needs :) going on 6 bums here but teaching a child to wipe herself leads to her using up enough tp for 2 bums!!

  146. 149

No real cleaning tips, but I can’t wait till the day comes when I can use the bathroom without being interupted by one of the kids, who didn’t need me until I got into the bathroom.

  147. 150

We just moved into a new house and we have a double sink & vanity, which is AMAZING!!! We used to have a pretty small bathroom, and the extra space makes us much happier when getting ready in the mornings :)

  148. 151

My best tip is to use a half of a dryer sheet to clean my sink. I use a whole one on the shower. It takes all soap scum off with ease!

    What a great giveaway!

  149. 152

I love the new 1 piece sink and clearance faucet that we found……so much easier to clean. Favorite toilet cleaner is vinegar, baking soda, and a couple drops of tea tree oil……works great.

  150. 153

My favorite thing about my bathroom is the warm soft rugs under my feet when I am standing at the sink…especially cozy after coming out of the dryer! Thank you for the giveaway!

  151. 154

This would be a huge blessing… our family of 10 (seven of them girls) goes through a ridiculous amount of tp! Shaklee’s Basic G is our cleaner of choice to scrub toilets; it is a wonderful disinfectant, smells clean and isn’t toxic or harmful to the person cleaning.

  152. 155

With my 3 boys, I use a spray bottle with bleach and water and spray inside the rim of the toilet and outside around the sides. Leave it set for a couple of minutes, then wipe off with a rag or paper towels. I use bleach for a lot of things so this is what works for my house. Don’t wait for smell build up, do it often. =)

  153. 156

I love my bathroom because my husband and I with the help of my dad and father-in-law totally gutted and remodeled it! It only took nine months!

  156. 159
    Merridith says:

My favorite way to clean the shower/tub is with the kitchen soap dispensing sponge brushes. I fill it with half vinegar and half blue dawn dish soap. The last two minutes of my shower, I quick wash the walls. (Thanks Pinterest for the great idea!).

  157. 160

I put my kids in the tub or shower and for three to five minutes they get to play while I do a power clean of the bathroom. That way I let them have fun and I am not wasting time while they play. If you put your mind to it, the bathroom can take only minutes to clean!

  158. 161

Haha, I don’t think there are any cure-alls for the pee smell! I have always used Bon Ami to clean my bathroom though–works great and is super cheap.

  159. 162
    Kathryn says:

I love my lavender hand soap in the bathroom. It makes everything smell nice while washing your hands.

  160. 163

I find that taking the toilet seat completely off every few months really helps keep the smell away. Put the entire seat in the bathtub and get all the urine out of the cracks and crevices.

  161. 164

    I use bleach!

  162. 165

Even if I don’t have time to do a total bathroom cleaning, if I just use a disinfecting wipe and quickly go over the counter and sink area and then use a paper towel to swipe it dry, at least the counter looks neat:)

    Becky Lederer says:

My favorite part about my bathroom is it is bigger than our old house. My least favorite part is that it does not have a tub and my poor 3 year old cried and screamed and would hide when it was time to shower at the new house. It has taken the last month to get her comfortable with the shower. I had to warn the new neighbors that if they heard her screaming it was likely bath time. She kept asking all the new neighbors if they had bathtubs as if calculating where she could bathe! :-)

  167. 170

My favorite thing about my bathroom is that we also have a master bath and one for the kids. The kids bath just got redone and my husband did a great job on the floors (thanks hubby!!!). Needlees to say with two bathrooms and kids that think there’s an endless supply of toilet paper (which there never is) we go through a lot and a year supply would be great, thanks again ladies for all you do, you are very helpful to my family ( I check your site daily)

    Shandee says:

Awesome giveaway! We go through toilet paper like crazy. A double roll every other day! About as intense as my cleaning gets in my entire bathroom is dish soap soak & scrubbing down the tub, Lysol for the toilet, and Magic Erasers on the counter tops. lol Though I think I’ll be using some of the above tips!

As for my favorite part of the bathroom that would hands down have to be the marble counter tops and bathtub/jacuzzi. It has rose quartz veins running through it; that is just gorgeous. I’ve got about 15 Peach and vanilla candles all around it. Makes for a very relaxing space.

  169. 173
    Lindsey Wright says:

I love your tips! Thanks for helping us all out daily to save money:)…My fav cleaning tip for stink under the toilet is lysol spray in between deep cleaning times, very useful for spraying the mini potty too. My son is potty training and yeah, pretty gross! LOL…

    Anne KOsten says:

Each my boys have a day a week they are responsible to clean the toilet. This keeps the worst of the mess and smell under control, then I go in periodically and clean it to mom’s standard. :)

  171. 175

I love to clean with baking soda and vinegar with some good smelling soap as well. Nice and easy and chemical free!

  172. 176

I love my bathroom after I clean it. It looks so good and smells fantastic!

  173. 177

I love my green bathroom! This sounds ridiculous, but my favorite thing about it is that it makes me feel like I’m outside. Cleaning with baking soda and vinegar removes odors and stains without any unnatural chemicals.

  174. 178

I use dishwasher detergent to clean out the jets in the bath tub

  175. 179

This would be amazing! I’m always shocked at how quickly we go through toilet paper! My favorite part about the bathroom is the double sinks. And I love giving my kids a bath, too. It’s a great down time at the end of the day.

  176. 180

My bathroom makes me feel like I am under the sea it is tiled with fish . Its my tropical getaway. Its the closes I am going to get to going on vacation.

I love the garden tub in my bathroom – it is PERFECT for the kid’s baths! Although, baby #4 has turned out to be the great splasher. I hope my drywall holds up!

    Ashley W says:

We had a bunch of empty space in our 2nd story when we moved in a couple years ago and we added a full bathroom up there. It was the first space I really designed on my own and I love it! The walls are the color of the ocean off the coast of the Bahamas and the floor is a light colored wood, it really gives the impression of being at the beach and is so peaceful looking! We also tiled our own stand-up shower and I always feel so pampered when I use it :-) I use a half and half mixture of Blue Dawn and Vinegar to keep it all clean, otherwise our hard water would really do a number on it!

  184. 189

I love that my bathroom has two sinks… my husband and I can get ready for the day together without tripping over each other!

  185. 190

I am just so thankful for the invention of the toilet :)

  186. 191

    Meredith Baker says:

I love that I have a row of bright lights in my bathroom, because I don’t like a dimly lit bathroom. But cleaning the light is a challenge. So I have found that using a feather duster to knock off dust and cobwebs every other day keep them looking fresh! I also use blue dawn and vinegar to clean my tub/shower.

  188. 193

I love the walk in tile shower at home. Not always fun to clean but plenty of room to wash and relax.

  189. 194
    Kristie Speakman says:

    Jamie B says:

I LOVE to clean my whole bathroom the old fashioned way – with bleach & water. It makes everything look and smell so clean, and its an easy, cheap way to keep everything germ free :)

    Kathy D says:

I’m not great at cleaning, so no tips. But I do love my bathroom, we have a shower only and it has a nice bench built in, it’s great when shaving my legs!

  193. 198
    Judy Hernandez says:

When my boys were little and potty training they would, of course, miss the mark several times which means pee would gather underneath the toilet leaving that awful smell. A sure cure was to clean with “Awesome” (from the Dollar Store) and then caulk around the bottom of the toilet and nothing could “get thru” any longer! It worked and no more pee smell!

  194. 199

After every shower or bath I spray the tub and tiles with water down bleach.

  195. 200

We love that our bathroom is ours, and the kids have their own bathroom. Our bathroom is rather small…but it’s just ours!

I enjoy using the new Windex pop up thing. Helps me do the Flylady method of cleaning the toilet once (or several) times during the day, with some toilet paper folded up. No hunting for cleaning supplies.

  197. 202

I love that my bathroom is off our master bedroom. Once you have a master bathroom, you never want to go back to not having one!

    Vinegar for everything!

  200. 205

    Kayley B says:

The best thing about my bathroom is the tile, My husband just tiled our bathroom and I LOVE it. The previous owners of our house had burned the linoleum floor and I used to cover with a rug and I don’t have to do that anymore!!

  204. 209

I like to spray my bathtub after I shower then let it sit and come back to it and give it a quick wipe down! super easy!

  205. 210

I love my whirlpool tub :). Although I do not enjoyicleaning it.

  206. 211

For the shower, I swear by Scrubbing Bubbles and a Magic Eraser! As for the urine smell, with three boys in the house, I just try my best to train them to get it in the bowl (for the sakes of their future wives!)

  207. 212

My favorite thing about the bathroom is my nighttime shower! With a newborn around, it’s my only time “off duty”! :)

  208. 213
    Michelle says:

I love having a big bathroom that all of us can fit in at once if needed! I like the works for the toilets and scrubbing bubbles for the sinks/tub.

  209. 214

I have sky light in my bathroom that I love!

  210. 215

I like that we now have 2 bathrooms instead of just 1. When I really need to get away I can run downstairs to have a moment to myself. I can even shower down there while hubby is home without having to hear any of the commotion going on with the kids :)

  211. 216
    Holly Rottier says:

I use vinegar & Clorox spray. Works like a charm!

  212. 217
    Tracy Hensley says:

Bleach everything! I only have my husband in my house but he always seem to miss the toilet (especially at night). Even our puppy pees on the toilet. The only thing I have found to get the pee smell out of the bathroom would be bleach. I clean our bathroom every single day after he goes to work. I have a bottle of bleach and water mixture in a spray bottle and spray it every day. It has helped keep the smell down. Bleach is the only hard chemical I use in our house.

  213. 218

I love my bathroom for a selfish reason. I love being able to take a long, hot shower in peace & quiet! It doesn’t happen often , but when it does…pure bliss ;)

    Kristie says:

I have 2 young boys and my husband using 1 bathroom and it can get gross quick. Every night, before I brush my teeth, I use the Windex touch up cleaner and wipe the toilet rim and the snd the handle. This gives me about 2 or 3 extra days before I have to do a deep clean.

  216. 221

Lol, the pee smell is DEFINITELY an issue in my house as well! I usually spray the toilet and around the base with Lysol (I like the scent of the orange bottle) then I let it set for a few minutes, then I wipe down the whole toilet and the floor at the base of the toilet with Lysol wipes. This is easier than jumping out of bed at 6 in the morning and trying to make sure my 5-year old doesn’t miss!

  217. 222

I like to keep Lysol wipes handy – can always do a quick wipe so the bathroom always stays fresh and clean!

Thank you for having this contest, we go through a lot of toilet paper too so I was excited to enter. I don’t necessarily have a tip but i can tell you I have a son also who leaves pee under the seat and down under the toilet and I just got so tired of cleaning it so I taught him how to do it. I showed him where the Clorox wipes are and showed him how to wipe it all down and then wash his hands and now all I have to say is ” Hayden, please clean the toilet” and he says okay and does it. It’s not perfect, nor would I expect it to be and it helps keep it clean between my weekly cleanings and of course, this makes me very happy!:)

  221. 226

I try to clean my toilet afer each shower using the wash cloth and towel. I usually wipe down the shower while I am in the shower. Soft scrub usually works great. As far as toilet paper, 2 ply and somthing soft.

  222. 227

I use Bon Ami to clean the tub and sink. It’s inexpensive, has no chemicals and does a good job.

  223. 228

The only way I can get my bathroom really clean is to get on my hands and knees with rubber gloves on and start scrubbing with Comet. It’s certainly not my favorite thing to do, but I always feel like I’ve really accomplished something great when I walk back in and the bathroom smells and looks so clean. I also clean my shower while I’m taking a shower. That way I don’t get water outside of the shower/tub and I don’t have to worry about getting myself all wet, because I’m already wet!!

  224. 229

The works toilet bowl cleaner is the best out there!
